Exploring time-compression, a digital camera captures long-exposures of VHS tapes rewinding.
A time-based translation blurring the line between painting, performance, and image capture. Each "painting" occurs over a 15 minute long scan, allowing the scanner to translate the whole event into a single image.
The viewer is forced in front of two projectors that are programmed to advance when sensing motion in the plane of projection. When the viewer is still, the slides do not advance. Each interaction and double-exposure formed is unique.
